À propos de Samsung SDI

Samsung SDI Co., Ltd. (Yongin, Gyeonggi; founded 1970) makes its own prismatic cells and integrates them into the Samsung Battery Box (SBB), a 20-foot containerised DC enclosure with cells, modules, racks, HVAC/chiller, AC/DC panels and fire panel pre-installed; the PCS is external and up to seven SBBs can share one PCS. The only datasheet on samsungsdi.com is a four-page JP/EN brochure covering SBB 1.0 (3,841 kWh, 1,920 kW max, NCA 145 Ah, 32 t) and SBB 1.5 (5,259 kWh, 2,630 kW max, NCA 145 Ah, 40 t), both 6058 x 2438 x 2896 mm, liquid-cooled, listed as UL 1973 / UL 9540 / NFPA 855 with UL 9540A installation-level test performance. Fire safety is Enhanced Direct Injection (EDI), spraying agent directly onto modules, plus venting and deflagration panels. SBB 1.7 (6.14 MWh NCA) and SBB 2.0 (LFP prismatic, two 20ft containers) were shown at RE+ 2025 with US production at StarPlus Energy (Indiana) planned from 2026; no datasheets, power ratings, dimensions or SBB 2.0 capacity are published. Round-trip efficiency, cycle life, warranty, IP rating and operating temperature are not published for any SBB. UPS/BBU rack batteries (U8A1) are excluded; customers include Tesvolt (Germany) and unnamed US utilities.
