CRRC Zhuzhou Institute

CRRC Zhuzhou Institute (中车株洲所) is the power-electronics and clean-energy arm of state-owned CRRC Corporation, headquartered in Zhuzhou, Hunan. It integrates BESS around purchased LFP cells (supplier not named on the site) together with in-house PCS, transformers and MV turnkey stations. InfoLink ranks it fourth among global ESS integrators for 2025 shipments, and BNEF has listed it as a Tier 1 energy-storage manufacturer since Q1 2024. The English site publishes a full line: 6.X liquid-cooled DC containers (587/648 Ah cells, 3.125–6.901 MWh in 10-ft and 20-ft boxes, launched January 2026), 5.X centralized (5.016 MWh, 314 Ah) paired with 1250 kW×4 MV stations, 5.X string-type AC containers with 215 kW string PCS, the older 3.X 280 Ah platform, a transformerless High Voltage Cascade system for 6–35 kV, plus C&I cabinets (233/261/418 kWh liquid-cooled, 215 kWh and 100 kWh air-cooled PV-storage cabinets). All liquid-cooled systems are IP55, −30 °C rated and carry IEC 62619/62933-5-2 and UL 9540A; US variants add UL 1973/UL 9540. Overseas projects include the 200 MWh Bohot BESS in Bulgaria (2026). Not disclosed: cycle life, warranty, kW ratings for 6.X, cell supplier; datasheet PDFs are image-only scans and no press kit or image licence exists.
