Iron Mountain MUM-3

MUM-3 is Iron Mountain's third and largest data center in Mumbai, under construction with completion targeted for 2027. The operator has disclosed 85 MW of hyperscale-ready IT capacity for the building — more than six times the combined capacity of its two existing Mumbai facilities, MUM-1 (2.3 MW) and MUM-2 (6 MW) — and describes the project as establishing Mumbai as its anchor market in India. Iron Mountain entered the Indian market through its 2025 acquisition of Web Werks, which brought MUM-1, MUM-2 and five other Web Werks-built facilities in Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Noida and Pune into the portfolio; MUM-3 is the first ground-up hyperscale project built under the Iron Mountain brand in the country. No address, floor space, cooling design or certification details have been published yet for the building, typical for an announced campus at this stage. Once complete, MUM-3 would be the largest single Iron Mountain facility anywhere in the APAC region, well ahead of the operator's next-largest Asian project, the planned 42 MW two-building Chennai campus.
