Why prices sit where they do

India is where scale is cheapest in our Asia-Pacific set: 1,738 MW across 10 tracked facilities, the largest capacity total in the region, at commercial power of $0.122/kWh, about three-fifths of Japan's $0.201 and under half of Singapore's $0.262. The market splits in two on price. Mumbai and Navi Mumbai hold the cable landings and the carrier density and are quoted accordingly; Chennai, Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam and Jamnagar are power-led campuses where cheap land and an available grid connection are the reason the site exists. 7 of the 10 facilities are marketed as AI-ready, the highest share in the catalog, which is why capacity runs so far ahead of the facility count. Mumbai also sits on the westbound path, 32 ms to Dubai and 140 ms to Frankfurt. One caution: only 1 of the 10 carries a published Tier III or IV certification, so verify design resilience facility by facility rather than inferring it from the operator's name.
