Every refresh of the price data appends a point to the series. If a value has not moved, no duplicate point is written until a week has passed — the series records changes, not the schedule of our own runs. Past points are never rewritten.
Series that start before August 2026 are seeded from published third-party indices so the history has context from day one. Those seed points are marked by their date and come from:
