Methodology
Every figure on Coloprice is reproducible: this page lists each data product, how it is computed, where its inputs come from and how often it updates. If a number is not published by a primary source, we leave it empty — nothing is estimated silently.
Colocation Price Index
Wholesale $/kW and retail per-rack benchmarks per market, compiled quarterly from operator disclosures, brokerage research and regulator filings; each market names its source.
Coloprice Score & rankings
0–100 across five axes (resilience 35, compliance 20, transparency 20, scale 15, maturity 10), computed from published facility data and verified certifications. No class is assigned below three disclosed fields. Reviews never affect the score; positions are not for sale.
Catalog counts
A facility enters the count only when publicly disclosed by its operator, a regulator or a certification registry; every card links its sources. Counts update with each daily catalog release.
Electricity benchmarks
Commercial/industrial rates per market from regulators and utilities, with the tariff class named in each note. Negotiated large-load contracts differ — the benchmark is the corridor, not an offer.
BESS price benchmarks
$/kWh levels from public tenders (CNESA), BNEF turnkey benchmarks and disclosed EPC figures; catalog specifications come from manufacturer datasheets only.
Awards & badges
Derived mechanically from the rankings: one award per list at the best achieved tier, with size thresholds so a top-10 in a list of eleven cannot exist. Axis awards require the maximum score on that axis.
M&A tracking
Publicly announced platform deals of roughly $1B+ with values as reported; undisclosed stays undisclosed and per-MW multiples are not computed without disclosed capacity.
