Why prices sit where they do

Israel's Tel Aviv-metro colocation market centers on a ring of satellite towns around the city rather than downtown itself. EdgeConneX operates three sites built by Israeli operator Global Data Center (GDC) before its 2021 acquisition: Herzliya and Petah Tikva (operational) plus a 7.5 MW build under construction in Rishon LeZion. Bynet Data Centers runs three smaller facilities — two in Tel Aviv proper (TLV A, TLV B) and one near Ben Gurion Airport in Lod — each under 1 MW and self-described as Tier 3 design, not independently certified. Coverage here reflects a market where several of the largest disclosed operators (Bezeq International, SDS/Shonfeld) block automated access to their own sites, and cloud hyperscalers with regional zones nearby (AWS, Google, Microsoft) do not disclose physical facility addresses at all. Business electricity runs $0.117/kWh (GlobalPetrolPrices, Dec 2025), roughly a third below the residential rate.

Frequently asked questions

How much does colocation cost in Israel?

No published wholesale $/kW benchmark exists for Israel yet, so we show nothing rather than an estimate. What is verifiable: the catalog tracks 6 facilities here. Run at least three quotes in parallel — where no benchmark is published, individual offers vary far more.

Why is colocation priced the way it is in Israel?

Commercial electricity in Israel is $0.117 per kWh, and power is the largest single input into a colocation rate. On top of that sit land and grid-connection availability, interconnection density, and how much capacity competes for the same tenants — 6 facilities in our catalog, 1 of them announced or under construction.
