The Colocation Price Index — Q3 2026 report

Wholesale colocation benchmarks for 16 markets, operator-published retail rate cards, the GPU rental index and Southeast Asia's published capacity pipeline — in one citable snapshot.

The Q3 2026 edition covers wholesale colocation rates in US dollars per kW of committed IT load per month for 16 markets on four continents, sourced from published CBRE and JLL market reports and normalised by Coloprice. Singapore remains the most expensive market tracked at $403/kW/month (range $330–475); Northern Virginia, the largest market in the world, sits at $173/kW/month for 10 MW+ blocks after a +1.5% year.

Retail pricing is reported only where operators publish a rate card themselves: 11 operator entries across the US, UK, Netherlands and Germany, from $59 per 1U to $2,499 per cage, each with the power and bandwidth the operator states. Absence of a market means no operator there publishes prices, not that it is cheaper.

The catalog behind the index holds 3,488 data centers from 934 operators in 135 countries; 1,555 of them publish IT capacity. In Southeast Asia the published pipeline is now larger than the operational base in Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam — a signal of where the next benchmark markets will come from.
