About BYD Energy Storage
BYD Energy Storage (founded 2008 as a business unit of BYD Company Limited) designs and manufactures lithium iron phosphate cells, packs, battery systems, PCS and EMS in-house. All current systems use LFP 'Blade Battery' cells; the utility DC blocks (MC Cube-T, MC Cube-T Pro) are built on 1P416S strings at 1,331.2 V nominal, while the Haohan block introduced a 2,710 Ah cell in 2025. Every model listed on bydenergy.com is liquid-cooled; the Haohan is rated IP66, the rest IP55. Export (E/U) datasheets list IEC 62619, UL 9540, UL 9540A, UL 1973, UN 38.3 and CE Marking; the China-market MC Cube-T Pro and X+1 carry GB/T 36276 and GB/T 34131 only. BYD reports 650+ projects in 110+ countries, including the US, Chile, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, the UK, Germany and Australia. Not disclosed: cell capacity (Ah) for MC Cube-T and Chess Plus, cycle-life test conditions, calendar life, warranty terms, round-trip efficiency for the DC blocks, energy density, and Haohan dimensions. Chess Plus datasheet lists no certifications. MC-I appears only in the corporate brochure. The MC Cube-SIB sodium-ion block (2024 LinkedIn announcement) and the legacy Cube Pro / Chess do not appear on the website and are omitted here.
