About LG Energy Solution
LG Energy Solution (LGES) is a Korean lithium-ion cell manufacturer spun off from LG Chem in December 2020, with plants in Korea, the US, China, Poland and Indonesia. In stationary storage it sells its own pouch cells at cell, module, rack and container level; its ESS page lists NCM(A) and LFP chemistries. The current grid line is the JF2 LFP long-cell family: in North America the subsidiary LG Energy Solution Vertech (Westborough, MA) supplies the 5.11 MWh JF2 4HR DC LINK and JF2 2HR/4HR AC LINK blocks with liquid cooling, AEROS EMS and US-made content; in Europe the Wroclaw plant produces the JF2S cell and a 20 ft JF2S DC LINK of around 5 MWh (deliveries for the 262 MW/981 MWh Zarnowiec project in 2026); a JF2 DC LINK 5.0 for Korea and a JF3 DC Link have been shown without specifications. The legacy lgessbattery.com catalog still lists the JF1 DC LINK 2.4, JH4 DC LINK 2.8, TR1300 and R1000/R1500 racks. Published sheets give energy, voltage, weight, dimensions, IP rating and US safety listings, but not cell Ah for containers, cycle life, round-trip efficiency, fixed warranty terms or JH4/TR1300 cell chemistry; the main lgensol.com catalog sits behind a lead form.
