What this class is and what to look at
Everything that is not lithium iron phosphate: sodium-ion, NMC and other chemistries. Sodium-ion is the one to watch for stationary storage — cheaper raw materials and cold-weather performance, at lower energy density.
Compare energy density and weight per enclosure, low-temperature capability, cycle-life test conditions and the certification status — most standards were written around lithium chemistries. Shipping status is critical: several products are announced, not delivered.
