Huawei Cloud Data Center, Gui'an New Area

Huawei opened this Gui'an New Area campus on 21 December 2021, after construction that began in August 2017, describing it at the time as the largest data center Huawei has ever built. The site covers 101.4 hectares with 51 buildings, of which nine are the data-center halls, totalling around 480,000 sqm of built-up floor area in phase 1. Huawei states the facility is designed to eventually house more than one million servers and reports an operating PUE of 1.12, with the company estimating it will save about 810,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions per year at full load. It serves Huawei Cloud customers across Guizhou, Chongqing, Guangxi, Guangdong, Yunnan and Sichuan, and includes 98 training rooms with capacity for more than 3,000 people for client and partner training. Along with Ulanqab and Wuhu, Huawei describes Gui'an as one of three major cloud core hubs anchoring its national cloud infrastructure. Power capacity in MW has not been published; certifications beyond the operator's own PUE and sustainability figures have not been disclosed.
