DATA 17 - DC01

DATA 17 - DC01 is a Tier IV-certified colocation facility in Saint-Jean-d'Angély, a mid-sized town in Charente-Maritime on France's Atlantic side, opened in October 2020. It was built by Data 17 SAS, an ownership vehicle set up by data-center designer Atrium Data alongside Banque des Territoires (part of Caisse des Dépôts) and Groupe Picoty, a regional energy distributor — a public-private structure aimed at bringing Tier IV-grade digital infrastructure to a secondary French market rather than the Paris region. Since November 2022, commercial operation of the site has been handed to Webaxys, which markets it as part of a five-site national network open to both public-sector and private clients. The building holds roughly 4,200 sqm of space and around 80 racks. Neither Data 17 nor Webaxys publishes a power capacity figure for the site. The facility's Tier IV Design Documents and Constructed Facility certifications from the Uptime Institute make it one of relatively few Tier IV sites in France located outside the Paris metro area.
