OpCore PAR5

OpCore PAR5, in Saint-Ouen-l'Aumône northwest of Paris, was converted from a mail-sorting facility that operated until 2013 into what Scaleway (and now OpCore) describes as one of France's largest data center projects. The 17,000 sqm site is arranged as 12 private IT vaults on a 'hexa-core' design, each providing between 900 and 1,800 kW, for more than 20 MW of total IT power — over 50 km from OpCore's other Paris-area sites for disaster-recovery diversity. Power is delivered through 2x24 MW utility feeders with 2N+1, N and N+1 UPS redundancy options depending on suite. Cooling combines direct free cooling for IT rooms with chiller-backed free cooling and 6 MWh of ice storage for meet-me rooms and UPS areas, totalling 23,400 kWf of cooling capacity with N+2 redundancy and a PUE of 1.18 trailing twelve months (1.15 at 70% load). PAR5 is ISO 27001, ISO 50001 and ISO 14001 certified and runs on 100% low-carbon energy, having separated from Scaleway into the Iliad Group/InfraVia joint venture OpCore in July 2023.
