STT Jakarta 1 opened in June 2023 as ST Telemedia Global Data Centres' first facility in Indonesia, built inside the Greenland International Industrial Centre in Cikarang, Bekasi Regency — a site the operator markets under the 'STT Jakarta' campus brand even though it sits in Cikarang rather than Jakarta proper, near the Jakarta-Cikampek highway on the capital's eastern edge. The joint venture behind the campus — PT STT GDC Indonesia, backed by STT GDC, Triputra Group and Temasek — designed the building for up to 18 MW of IT load (an original 2023 announcement cited a design target of 19.5 MW) across roughly 18,500 square meters of gross floor area, with a design PUE of 1.41 and dual 20kV utility feeds backed by 72 hours of on-site fuel. The facility has achieved LEED Gold, ISO 20000/22301/27001/50001 and PCI DSS certification, plus a set of Indonesia-specific audit assessments (POJK, IDX, TVRA), and operates carbon-neutral. A partnership with APJII, Indonesia's internet service provider association, hosts an internet exchange node on site. STT Jakarta 1 anchors a campus STT GDC has since expanded with eight more numbered buildings.
