DEEP by POST — Resilience Centre South

Resilience Centre South, in Kayl in southern Luxembourg, was the first data center in the country — and, per the Uptime Institute, the third in Europe and ninth worldwide — to hold a Tier IV Certification of Constructed Facility, awarded in 2013 after an earlier Design Documents certification in 2011. The site is operated by DEEP by POST, the colocation and cloud arm of national telecom operator POST Luxembourg, formerly known as EBRC, and is one of three Tier IV data centers the company runs in the country in an interconnected network (alongside Betzdorf and Windhof). DEEP publishes power density rather than a single MW figure for the roughly 5,000 sqm site — up to 4,000 W/m² available on request — and the operator markets the facility's free-air chilling, rainwater harvesting and on-site solar generation as part of its sustainability profile. The Windhof site in the same network holds Tier IV Design Documents only, without the Constructed Facility award RCS and the Betzdorf site both carry.
