Myanmar ICT Development Corporation Public Company Limited (MICTDC), a consortium of about 50 private companies formed in 2001 to promote ICT development in Myanmar, operates a colocation data centre inside the ICT Park it established in Yangon's Hlaing Township in 2002. MICTDC markets the facility jointly with NTT Myanmar, with colocation capacity for up to 162 racks; customers can start with a half rack and scale up to full racks as demand grows. MICTDC states the site is operated by Myanmar IT engineers with support from Japanese experts and is equipped with standby generators, UPS systems, round-the-clock security and early-detection fire suppression.
