VivoPower acquired this existing data center in Mo i Rana, northern Norway, on 21 April 2026, and in October 2026 announced that construction of the first conversion phase has been mobilized. Trade press quotes 42 MW for the site, while the company's own release refers to a 40 MW first-phase AI conversion, so the figure shown here follows the trade report and should be read as approximate. Early works cover demolition, enabling work and the main building superstructure, followed by the mechanical and electrical fit-out, whose contract VivoPower expects to award shortly. No ready-for-service date has been given. The company has named a preferred tenant only as a global AI industry leader, and 30 MW of the existing facility is enrolled in grid-balancing services. The design aims to capture waste heat for reuse, with district heating, land-based aquaculture and greenhouse production under evaluation but no agreements signed. Cooling type and certifications are not published.
