Ooredoo Data Centre — Sohar — Best data center in Oman 2026
#1 of 8 · See the list →

Ooredoo Data Centre in Sohar is the second of Ooredoo Oman's regional colocation facilities outside Muscat, launched on 3 November 2024. The operator describes the site as built to 'Level 3+ standards' — a self-declared classification rather than a published Uptime Institute or TIA-942 certificate, since neither body lists any certified facility in Oman. The facility offers up to 10 MW of power capacity and room for roughly 1,200 racks, larger by rack count than Ooredoo's original Baushar site in Muscat. Ooredoo positions the Sohar facility as support for Oman's Vision 2040 digital-transformation strategy and for the industrial and logistics activity concentrated around the Sohar Free Zone and port, one of the sultanate's main economic hubs outside Muscat. As with Ooredoo's other Omani sites, no third-party audit or certification beyond the operator's own marketing language is published.
