ClusterPower's CP1 campus sits in Mischii, a rural commune in Dolj County roughly 230 km west of Bucharest, chosen for its access to grid capacity and existing power infrastructure rather than proximity to Romania's Bucharest-centered data center market. Cluster Power SRL, founded in 2019, opened the first building on the site on April 1, 2022, describing it at the time as the country's first hyperscale-class facility. The campus spans roughly 25,400 sqm and is planned to grow to up to five buildings; the operator reports 10 MW of live IT capacity today against a longer-term master plan that would scale the site toward several hundred megawatts by the end of the decade, backed by a 2026 equity partnership with AIC. ClusterPower cites a PUE of around 1.1 and on-site power generation feeding the campus, along with direct fiber routes to Frankfurt and Amsterdam. Uptime Institute has certified the facility to Tier III. The operator sells the space as commercial colocation, hosting, backup/disaster-recovery and compute services rather than running it as captive infrastructure.
