Vantage Johannesburg I Campus (JNB1)

Vantage's first South African campus sits on 30 acres (12 hectares) at 1 Howick Lane in the Waterfall Logistics Precinct, Midrand, roughly 30 km from O.R. Tambo International Airport and about halfway between Johannesburg and Pretoria. At full development the site is planned to host three data centers totaling 120 MW of critical IT load across 650,000 sq ft, drawing 180 MVA of supply from state utility Eskom. Cooling runs on a closed-loop chilled-water system with air-cooled chillers and air-side economizers under N+2 component-level mechanical redundancy, targeting near-zero water use. The campus is carrier-neutral with two meet-me-rooms per data center and four points of entry, running N+1 electrical redundancy at 300 W/sq ft average density. No third-party certification (Uptime Tier, LEED or ISO) is published for the site, though Vantage cites industry award recognition from DCD, Data Centre World and Datacloud between 2022 and 2023. It anchors Vantage's entry into the South African market, alongside the smaller JNB2 campus nearby.
