Jebel Ali, the logistics and port district at Dubai's western edge, hosts e&'s largest SmartHub data centre — a Tier III carrier hotel covering some 26,000 sqm, of which about 4,000 sqm is IT space. The white space is organized into eight clusters of roughly 240 racks each, on raised floor rated to 1,400 kg per sqm, with published plant figures including eight 2,000 kVA generators, sixteen 2,500 kVA DRUPS units and around 17,280 kW of cooling capacity aligned to ASHRAE guidelines. As part of the SmartHub platform of e& (formerly Etisalat), the site functions as a wholesale and carrier interconnection point: more than 60 providers — carriers, content platforms, mobile and satellite operators — use SmartHub facilities as a bridge between Asia, Africa and Europe. That mix makes Jebel Ali most relevant to international networks and content players wanting a Dubai hub on e&'s backbone, alongside enterprises taking colocation with direct operator connectivity.
