About Powin
Powin, LLC was a Tualatin, Oregon-based integrator of LFP battery energy storage systems. Its hardware family comprised the Centipede platform (air-cooled Stack750/Stack800 Energy Segments with Collection Segments and third-party PCS) and, from 2024, the Powin Pod, a liquid-cooled 20 ft DC container of 5.015 MWh with 314 Ah LFP cells; a 6.26 MWh Pod Max was announced in May 2025 but never reached delivery. Powin named CATL and EVE as cell manufacturers for the Stack750 platform; Pod cell suppliers were not disclosed. Powin filed for Chapter 11 protection (D.N.J.) in June 2025 (case 25-16137). Its hardware and software IP (StackOS), IT systems and spare parts were sold to FlexGen Power Systems, LLC (Durham, NC); the sale closed on 19 August 2025. A Chapter 11 plan of liquidation was confirmed on 1 December 2025; Powin, LLC is winding down and FlexGen, which is hardware-agnostic, supports Powin sites via HybridOS retrofits rather than selling Centipede or Pod hardware. powin.com redirects to flexgen.com; specifications here come from Powin's datasheets preserved in the Internet Archive and are recorded for the installed base only. Powin never published a public media kit or photo licence.
Photo policy
Powin publishes no image licence or press kit, so model cards show a schematic illustration instead of a manufacturer photo. Photos will be added only with written permission.
No press kit or image-usage terms were ever published on powin.com; the domain now redirects to flexgen.com. Product renderings survive only as Internet Archive copies of powin.com pages; rights holder after the August 2025 asset sale is FlexGen Power Systems, LLC.
