The Yevlakh availability zone is AzInTelecom's regional counterpart to its Baku estate, commissioned on 3 June 2022 in Yevlakh, on Azerbaijan's main east-west corridor roughly midway between Baku and the Georgian border. It is not a conventional building: the ministry states that the entire critical infrastructure, across a built-up area of 1,400 square metres, is built on a 1+1 principle, with alternative power supply, fire-fighting systems, physical protection and water and fuel reserves, and that the portable container design allows the site to be relocated during an emergency. The zone mirrors the cloud infrastructure of the Baku data centre and is sold primarily as a geographic-redundancy option — disaster recovery as a service and backup for AZCLOUD customers — alongside IMS-type station systems used for international telephone exchange. It carries Tier III certification together with ISO 20000, ISO 22301 and ISO 27001. For buyers, Yevlakh is the only published second region inside Azerbaijan, which matters for organisations required to keep data in-country while still meeting recovery-point objectives. The operator publishes neither IT load in megawatts nor rack counts, and the containerised format implies a modest footprint rather than campus-scale capacity; anyone sizing a deployment here should ask for a written capacity statement.
