Campinas 1, in the Techno Park district of Campinas about 100 km from São Paulo, was Ascenty's first data center, opening in 2012 before the company built out its now roughly 30-site Brazilian network and was acquired by Digital Realty in 2018. The single-building site provides about 5,000 m² of space across 800 racks, powered by 6 MW of IT capacity and 13,185 kVA of UPS in a tri-bus N+1 configuration. The building is rated for Seismic Zone 0 and a 1,200 kg/m² floor load — figures Ascenty publishes across its portfolio pages rather than as one-off claims. Ascenty lists the facility under its company-wide compliance set: Tier III design, ISO 14001, 27001, 37001 and 50001, PCI-DSS, and SOC 1/2/3 Type II reporting, plus a 'Lixo Zero' (zero-waste) designation shared with its Sumaré 1 site. As the origin point of Ascenty's Campinas-region cluster, the facility remains a modest-capacity anchor next to the company's newer, larger Hortolândia and Vinhedo buildings nearby.
