GTD Panamericana

Panamericana, in the northern sector of Santiago about 20 minutes from the international airport, is GTD's flagship data center and the only one of its six-plus Chilean facilities with a detailed public specification. Opened in 2017, the building totals 7,160 m² with 1,700 m² of white space and 8 MW of power capacity that GTD describes as still expanding. GTD, a Chilean telecom and infrastructure group, states the facility holds Uptime Institute Tier III certification across design, construction and — notably — the Gold category of operational sustainability, a harder-to-earn rating than most operators in the market publish. It also carries PCI compliance, SOC 1 and SOC 2 reports, ISO 22301 business continuity, ISO 27001 information security and ISO 20000-1 IT service management certifications, plus an Engie certificate for 100 percent renewable electricity use. GTD runs Panamericana alongside five other named Santiago sites — Lídice I and II, Huérfanos, Moneda and Holanda — plus a Puerto Montt facility, but only Panamericana, Lídice II and Providencia currently appear in the Uptime Institute's Chile registry.
