Aligned BG-01 (Cota)

BG-01 was Aligned Data Centers’ first Colombian facility, built inside the Zona Franca Metropolitana de Cota free-trade zone on the Predio San Rafael site in Cota, a municipality on the Bogotá savanna about 8.8 km from the Colombian capital and 15 km from El Dorado International Airport. The facility runs on 1,650 kW of generator capacity with up to 2.4 MW of UPS capacity available, and holds the broadest compliance stack Aligned discloses anywhere in its Latin American portfolio: SOC 2 Type 2, PCI DSS, ISO 27001, ISO 14001, ISO 9001 and ISO 20000-1. Colombia became part of Aligned’s footprint through the company’s acquisition of ODATA, and Bogotá is now the operator’s largest Latin American market by facility count, with two additional sites — BG-02 in Mosquera and BG-03 in Tenjo — under development on the same savanna a short distance to the west and north. BG-01’s free-trade-zone location gives tenants duty and tax advantages specific to the zona franca regime, a structure less common among Aligned’s other Latin American sites.
