Raxio DRC1, launched in 2024, is an enterprise-grade, carrier-neutral data center in Kinshasa operated by Raxio Group, the pan-African developer that also runs facilities in Angola, Côte d'Ivoire, Ethiopia, Mozambique, Tanzania and Uganda. The operator's published specifications describe a two-floor, 1,056 m² white-space building with capacity for 400 racks and 1.5 MW of IT power, backed by 2 MW of installed cooling and N+1 resilience across power and cooling systems. The Uptime Institute's award registry lists the facility under client Raxio Data Centre SAS and site name "DRC1," with both a Tier III Certification of Design Documents and a Tier III Certification of Constructed Facility — a stronger award than the only other Uptime-registered facility in the country, Open Access Data Centres' Kinshasa site, which holds a Design Documents award only. Raxio positions DRC1 along established regional fibre routes to support domestic and international connectivity.
