DataTrust Data Center 1

DataTrust Data Center 1 opened in July 2024 in Ciudad Arce, La Libertad department, roughly 37 km from San Salvador along the Panamerican Highway. The project is described by its owner, Grupo Codisa (later acquired by IFX Networks), as the first Tier III-certified commercial data center in El Salvador, following feasibility studies that began in 2019. The building sits inside Altius Tech Park, a technology park spanning more than 44,000 sqm of construction across eight buildings, developed by Aristos Inmobiliaria. Total facility capacity is reported at 3.5 MW, with 1.6 MW allocated to IT load; the operator states this load is matched with renewable energy sourcing. The design provides for 322 racks. Services offered include colocation, public cloud, private cloud, and dedicated workspace for tenant staff. The Uptime Institute lists the facility, under its operating company Data Trust, S.A. de C.V., with both Tier III Design Documents and Tier III Constructed Facility certifications, one of only two Uptime-certified sites in the country alongside a bank's internal processing center.
