Equinix HE4

Equinix HE4, at Myllynkivenkuja 4B in Vantaa, is the largest of the operator's five disclosed Helsinki-metro IBX facilities by floor space, at roughly 23,874 sq ft (2,218 sqm) across a two-storey building — ahead of HE3, HE5, HE6 and HE7, which sit in Helsinki proper and neighboring Espoo. It is also the only site in the group whose minimum cabinet density reaches 10kVA, double the 3-5kVA range disclosed at the other four. The building is rated to seismic design category D and uses Argonite gas fire suppression with aspirated and non-aspirated detection. UPS and cooling both run at N+1 redundancy, backed by 30 or more hours of generator autonomy at full load, though Equinix withholds the generator redundancy figure and total site power in MW pending a sales inquiry. Security includes on-site guarding, combination locks and entrance mantraps. Equinix's 2025 sustainability disclosure cites supplier-bundled wind Guarantees of Origin sourced within Finland, plus free cooling, heat recovery and hot/cold aisle containment, and the site carries the operator's standard European certification set: the Climate Neutral Data Centre Pact, Cyber Essentials, the EU Code of Conduct, ISO 9001/14001/22301/27001/45001/50001, PCI DSS and SOC 1/2 Type II.
