NTT's Berlin 2 Data Center sits about 14 km south of the company's Berlin 1 site and serves what NTT describes as Germany's second-largest data center market after Frankfurt. The campus comprises two buildings, A and B, each rated for 12 MW of critical IT load for a combined 24 MW, spread across more than 9,700 sqm of server space. Power is fed from an on-site substation delivering 90 MVA, with NTT specifying 2N UPS systems and N+1 generator backup. Cooling is a redundant water-cooled system supported by free cooling (N+1) plus CRAH units in the technical rooms and suites. The site is carrier-neutral, connects to the BCIX internet exchange, and offers redundant Carrier Meet-Me-Rooms with access to public, private and hybrid cloud providers. Security includes a 24/7 Security Operations Center and Service Control Center. NTT does not publish rack density, floor space per building, or the year the campus was completed.
