VIVAnet DataCenter Kft opened its Budapest facility in July 2024 in the city's 10th district, positioning it as one of the newest independent colocation sites in Hungary. The operator states the building draws power from two independently fed 1 MW local transformers, giving it dual-utility redundancy uncommon among smaller regional colocation providers. The first construction phase was sized for 140 rack cabinets, built with closed cold-aisle containment and a published design PUE of 1.39. VIVAnet holds ISO/IEC 27001 certification for its data center operations. As a newly built, carrier-neutral facility, VIVAnet competes for Hungarian enterprise and telecom customers alongside older incumbent sites such as Magyar Telekom's Asztalos Sándor úti data center and the multi-tenant carrier-hotel buildings that dominate much of Budapest's existing colocation supply. VIVAnet does not publish the facility's floor space, maximum IT power in MW, or renewable-energy sourcing, leaving those figures undisclosed relative to some larger regional peers.
