Equinix JK1 is the operator's first data center in Indonesia, opened in 2024 in Jakarta's Mampang Prapatan district within the Central Business District, and developed through a joint venture with Indonesian conglomerate PT Astra International (75% Equinix, 25% Astra). The eight-story building holds about 1,860 sqm (20,021 sq ft) of colocation space, with the design scaling to more than 1,600 cabinets at full build-out. Equinix formally inaugurated the site as its first AI-ready facility in the country in May 2025, citing access to more than 50 global and local network service providers and internet exchanges. Cooling runs at N+1 redundancy with advanced-cooling infrastructure sized for AI and high-density workloads, on a 240V/415V power distribution with a 5kVA minimum cabinet density. The facility holds ISO 22301, 27001 and 9001, PCI DSS, and SOC 1 and SOC 2 Type II certifications, and Equinix's 2025 sustainability disclosure lists small-hydro I-RECs sourced from Indonesia. No overall site power capacity in MW has been published.
