Aruba IT1 in Arezzo, Tuscany, is the founding campus of Aruba S.p.A., the Italian hosting and cloud group that has grown into one of the country's largest data center operators. The site organizes roughly 700 racks into ten islands of 70 racks each, cooled by a dynamic free-cooling system that draws on outside air for most of the year, with mechanical compressor cooling held in reserve. Power distribution follows a 2N+1 redundant electrical design, with dedicated battery buildings and standby generators kept separate from the data halls, and the facility runs on grid electricity backed by Guarantee of Origin renewable certificates. IT1 is fiber-linked to the neighboring IT2 building on the same Arezzo campus and forms part of Aruba's wider network alongside its Bergamo (IT3) and Rome (IT4) sites. The facility holds ISO 27001 and ISO 9001 management-system certifications plus an ANSI/TIA-942-C Rated 4 facility certification from EPI — the top tier under the TIA-942 scheme. Aruba markets IT1 for colocation alongside its cloud, hosting and domain business.
