Why prices sit where they do

The catalog's Milan coverage is Equinix's four disclosed IBX facilities, with zero published power capacity in MW and none flagged AI-ready. ML5, the largest by floor space, is the outlier: it is the only Milan site holding a TIA-942 certification and pairs on-site solar PV with LEED certification, while the smaller ML2 and ML3 buildings disclose comparatively little beyond ISO, PCI DSS and SOC attestations. Commercial power at $0.323/kWh is among the highest in this index, well above France's $0.185 and even Germany's $0.283 — Eurostat's large-industrial band is markedly cheaper at roughly $0.19, so the price a data-center customer actually pays depends heavily on load size and contract structure. As with Spain, this is one operator's public disclosure rather than a full market census; Italy has just entered the catalog.
