Elmec Brunello Data Center (BR4)

BR4 is Elmec Informatica's main data center, built on a reclaimed industrial site in Brunello, in the province of Varese northwest of Milan. Elmec is a privately held Italian IT services company that has grown a Tier IV-certified colocation and managed-hosting business around the site, and states on its own site that it now serves more than 200 external clients from the facility — evidence the operation is genuine third-party colocation rather than captive internal infrastructure. The campus covers roughly 13,000 sqm of reclaimed industrial land, though Elmec does not break out the technical white-space area, rack count or IT power capacity for BR4 specifically. The Uptime Institute has certified the site for both Design Documents and Constructed Facility at Tier IV, one of a small number of such certifications held by an independent Italian IT services firm rather than a dedicated colocation or telecom operator. Elmec markets the facility alongside cloud, managed-services and cybersecurity offerings rather than as a pure wholesale colocation play.
