LuxConnect DC2

LuxConnect DC2 is a carrier-neutral colocation data center in Bissen, central Luxembourg, about 20 km north of Luxembourg City, operated by the state-backed operator LuxConnect S.A. Operational since April 2012, the building is a separate site from LuxConnect's three-building Bettembourg campus. DC2 offers 21,000 sqm of gross floor area with 4,800 sqm of net IT space, fed by two independent 12.6 MVA utility connections, and cooled by a chilled-water loop with 12°C supply and 18°C return temperatures. LuxConnect's own site describes DC2 as Uptime Institute Tier IV certified; the Uptime Institute's public registry records two design-stage awards for the facility — a Tier IV Certification of Design Documents and an earlier Tier II Certification of Design Documents — consistent with a phased design review of one building. DC2 hosts a LU-CIX internet exchange point of presence and connects to Amsterdam, Frankfurt and Paris over LuxConnect's fiber backbone.
