KPN's Datacenter Eindhoven sits on the High Tech Campus in Eindhoven. It was officially opened on 7 July 2015 in the presence of the city's mayor and was KPN's tenth data centre. KPN reported that the Uptime Institute had awarded it Tier IV certification after an audit, and the company described it as the first Tier IV facility in the Netherlands; the Uptime Institute award listing for Datacenter Eindhoven is cited as a source. The operator said at opening that the site runs on 100 percent renewable electricity and that cooling uses the campus heat ring, with all waste heat returned to the same ring and used by other campus buildings. KPN called the arrangement CO2 neutral and even CO2 negative; this is the operator's claim and has not been independently verified here. Power capacity, floor area, rack count and density are not published in the sources used, so they remain empty.
