PLDT VITRO Cavite Data Center

PLDT's data center arm VITRO is planning its twelfth and largest Philippine facility on at least half of a 20-hectare lot in General Trias, Cavite, owned by Metro Pacific Investments Corp. The project is designed for five prefabricated modules of 20 MW each, reaching 100 MW of IT capacity in its first stage at an estimated cost of around PHP 40 billion (roughly US$1 billion), with PLDT signaling an ambition to scale the site toward 500 MW over time — a figure the company has framed as putting its capacity on par with Malaysia's colocation market. Construction is planned to begin in 2026 with completion targeted for 2028, joining a wave of hyperscale projects moving south of Metro Manila into Cavite, where STT GDC and other operators already operate campuses. The Cavite location gives PLDT access to open land and grid capacity unavailable in the built-up NCR submarket, and continues the company's shift from smaller enterprise colocation sites toward AI- and hyperscale-ready capacity for cloud and AI customers. As of the latest public disclosures, the project remains in planning and internal approval stages, with scope, phasing and final investment figures still subject to change.
