3S Data Center Gdańsk

3S Data Center, the colocation arm of P4 (operator of the Play mobile network), opened its seventh Polish facility — and first in the Tri-City area — in Gdańsk in 2022, in a building on ul. Nowy Świat that the company acquired and thoroughly renovated. The site totals 500 m² with room for 192 server racks, drawing 1.2 MW of total facility power of which 0.8 MW is available as IT load. Power and cooling are dual-path: two independent electrical feeds plus UPS and generator backup rated for 72 hours at full load, with connectivity open to any telecommunications carrier. Play states the site meets the Rated 3 / Tier III criteria of the ANSI/TIA-942 standard, though this is the operator's own compliance claim rather than a third-party EPI certification. The Gdańsk facility joined 3S sites in Warsaw, Katowice and Bytom as part of Play's push to offer colocation, cloud and IT-security services to companies in northern Poland, with data kept onshore for GDPR and sector-regulator compliance.
