JB4, completed in October 2022 on Teraco's Bredell Campus in Glen Marais, Kempton Park, was described in the operator's own coverage as the largest standalone data centre facility ever built in Africa at the time of its opening. The building adds 16,000 m² of white space and a resilient 80 MVA power supply delivering 50 MW of IT load, built — per Teraco — to the latest international hyperscaler specifications. As with the rest of Teraco's portfolio, the operator does not claim a formal Uptime Institute Tier certification for the site, marketing it instead on a self-reported "99.999%" uptime design figure. JB4 sits alongside the smaller, earlier JB2 building on the same Bredell Campus, about 20 km from central Johannesburg and 5 km from OR Tambo International Airport, extending Teraco's Isando-and-Bredell footprint that also hosts the operator's satellite teleport.
