KT Cloud announced on 22 October 2026 that it has started construction of a 50 MW AI-dedicated data center in Ansan, in the Seoul metropolitan area. The building has two basement levels and nine floors above ground with a gross floor area of about 36,878 square metres. All server rooms are designed to support liquid cooling, and the structure is reinforced for heavy racks so that future high-end GPU generations, including Nvidia's next-generation Vera Rubin platform, can be installed. Cooling combines a free-cooling system that draws outdoor air through coils on the exterior walls, linked to closed-circuit cooling towers, to cut energy use in spring, autumn and winter. KT Cloud says the design builds on its Gasan AI data center, which opened in 2025. Completion is targeted for 2029. The 50 MW figure is the power-receiving capacity; the investment amount, tenants and street address have not been disclosed.
