NorthC Münchenstein (Basel) 3

Branded Münchenstein (Basel) 3 despite sitting a short distance away in Arlesheim, this is NorthC's third and largest planned Swiss facility, under construction on the uptownBasel innovation campus with a targeted 7.5 MW of IT capacity — more than any of the operator's other Swiss sites once live. NorthC is targeting availability from 2027 and, like its Geneva project, is designing the building for high-density AI, medtech and industrial workloads with a target PUE of 1.2 or better. The operator plans direct peering with SwissIX and, as with its existing Swiss facilities in Münchenstein, Biel and Winterthur, intends to run the site on hydropower with waste heat recovered for campus heating. No certifications have been disclosed yet given the facility's pre-operational status. Together with the existing Münchenstein 1 and 2 buildings a short distance away, this gives NorthC three linked sites in the greater Basel area once construction completes, alongside its own operating Biel and Winterthur facilities and the separate Geneva project under development.
