BrainServe operates the only Uptime Institute-certified data center in French-speaking Switzerland, located in Crissier, a suburb of Lausanne roughly halfway between Geneva and Bern. Built in 2010 and opened in April 2011, the facility holds Tier IV design certification from the Uptime Institute. The site delivers 10 MVA of guaranteed power through five 2,500 kVA transformers in N+1 configuration, backed by equivalent UPS and generator capacity, across 2,000 square meters of technical space within a 6,432 square meter site. Cooling is handled by four 2,500 kW turbo groups in N+N redundancy, supplemented by two free-cooling exchangers that use external cold air and a double iced-water distribution network. BrainServe SA is entirely Swiss-owned, financed and managed, with construction following SIA-118 building standards and operations run to ISO 20000/ITIL practice, plus 24/7 on-site specialist staff.
