</a>Geneva is NorthC's newest announced Swiss site, under construction at "The Hive" technology park in Meyrin, next to CERN on the western edge of Geneva, with the operator targeting availability from 2028. Unlike NorthC's existing hydropower-run Swiss buildings in Biel, Münchenstein and Winterthur, Geneva is being designed from the outset for high-density AI workloads, with direct-to-chip liquid cooling and a design-target PUE of 1.2 or better, plus GPU-ready rack provisioning. Planned IT capacity is 4.5 MW. NorthC intends to connect the site directly to CIXP, the CERN Internet Exchange Point, and to link it into the rest of its Swiss footprint over a planned 400 Gbps backbone. As with its operating Swiss sites, the operator plans to run the facility on hydropower with waste-heat reuse. No certifications have been published yet for a site still in construction. Once live, Geneva would become NorthC's fourth active Swiss metro alongside Basel, Biel and Winterthur/Zurich.
