Banqiao Cloud Data Center is Chunghwa Telecom's flagship colocation facility in New Taipei City, located on Guoqing Road in Banqiao District. The state-heritage telecom operator built the site at a stated cost of roughly NT$13 billion (about US$400 million). The company's own materials describe more than 6,000 ping — roughly 20,000 square meters — of technical floor space across more than 4,000 racks, making it one of the larger named colocation buildings in Taiwan. Under the Uptime Institute's tiering framework, the site (listed in the registry as "CHT Taipei IDC") holds an M&O Stamp of Approval, a management-and-operations award distinct from a Tier Certification of Constructed Facility. Chunghwa Telecom does not publish a total IT power figure or a cooling-infrastructure breakdown for the building. The facility sits alongside newer Chunghwa Telecom projects the operator has since announced in Taoyuan and Taichung as it expands capacity for cloud and AI-related demand.
