De Novo Data Center (DC-1 / DC-5)

De Novo runs the most fully documented commercial data center in Ukraine, publishing a component-level specification sheet rather than marketing headlines. DC-1, commissioned in November 2010, occupies 2,117 sqm with 3,050 kW of total electrical capacity and 1,050 kW of IT load, split into shielded modules of three sizes: S (4 racks / 30 kW), L (8 racks / 60 kW) and H (25 racks / 160 kW), with a 15 kW ceiling per rack. Power arrives on two 10 kV inputs from separate substations and is backed by four Cummins generators in N+1 with 20 tonnes of stored fuel, plus two UPS rooms in N+1. Cooling is chiller-fancoil N+1 with five Clivet chillers, 40 cubic metres of hydro-accumulation and 79 precision air conditioners. DC-5, opened in April 2018, adds 1,200 sqm and 500 kW of IT capacity in four halls of 36, 36, 34 and 34 racks at 115 kW per hall, with a 10 kW rack limit and STULZ precision cooling. Fifteen-plus carriers are present and two independent fibre routes reach the UA-IX exchange. In a November 2025 post the operator states its Kyiv site can run up to 72 hours on stored diesel, uses contracted continuous refuelling proven during the 2022-2023 blackouts, and replaced its UPS and batteries in 2025 with Schneider Electric equipment and CATL lithium iron phosphate cells. De Novo also operates sites in Lviv and, for its EU cloud, inside Equinix and Telehouse facilities in Frankfurt.
