Core Scientific Denton (CoreWeave)

Core Scientific's Denton, Texas facility is one of the sites the former Bitcoin-mining operator has converted for GPU hosting under contract to CoreWeave. In February 2025 the companies announced a $1.2 billion expansion that added 70 MW of additional contracted power at Denton, bringing the site's total contracted critical IT load to approximately 260 MW. The expansion was part of a broader set of agreements between the two companies that, at the time, brought CoreWeave's total contracted revenue with Core Scientific past $10 billion across six Core Scientific sites. Core Scientific owns and operates the physical facility; CoreWeave is the named GPU-hosting customer rather than the site operator. A subsequent attempt by CoreWeave to acquire Core Scientific outright was announced and then terminated in October 2025, leaving Core Scientific as an independent, third-party host for CoreWeave's contracted capacity at Denton.
