Cologix DSM1 occupies 4,000 sq ft (372 sqm) of colocation space inside the Financial Center building in downtown Des Moines, which the operator calls one of the Midwest's premier carrier hotels. Cologix publishes 600 kW of available power at the current footprint, with room to expand into an additional 8,000 sq ft and up to 1 MW of power within the same building. The facility operates as a network-neutral carrier hotel with access to more than 25 unique networks and direct connectivity to DesMoinesIX, the local internet exchange, plus more than 300 cloud service providers through Cologix's platform. An onsite Meet-Me-Room supports interconnection between tenants. Cologix does not publish DSM1's cooling type, redundancy configuration, certifications, or the year the facility opened; the company markets the site primarily on its downtown carrier-hotel role and expansion capacity rather than technical specifications.
