T5@Charlotte (Kings Mountain Campus)

T5 Data Centers markets its Kings Mountain, North Carolina campus under the 'T5@Charlotte' brand, describing the 300-acre site as roughly 30 miles west of downtown Charlotte with a dedicated 180 MW Duke Energy substation on site. Unlike T5's multi-tenant colocation products elsewhere, the Kings Mountain campus is built primarily as single-tenant, build-to-suit powered shells: T5 broke ground on a Fortune 50 tenant's building in January 2016, and the campus has operated enterprise data center buildings for undisclosed hyperscale and large-enterprise customers since at least 2013. One building on the campus, tracked by Uptime Institute under the name 'T5@Charlotte VII / CHADC1 Investments LLC,' holds Uptime Institute Tier III Certifications for both Design Documents and Constructed Facility, plus a Tier III Gold Certification of Operational Sustainability; a second building holds an Uptime M&O Stamp of Approval. T5 also markets a powered shell of 43,000 to 75,000 square feet, expandable to 139,000 square feet, for additional tenants. Tenant identities, individual building addresses and power allocations are not publicly disclosed by T5.
